The client was not satisfied with the high energy consumption of sodium lamps outside the P3 warehouse in Lozorno. The original 100W and 150W sodium street lamps installed around the roads and parking area for trucks producing yellow light were replaced with more suitable LED modules.

Yellow light produced by the original luminaires was replaced by whiter LED light, more suitable for industrial spaces and offices. Whiter and brighter LED light adds to visibility and is perceived as more comfortable to the eye.

High performing DDK-LED SLP systems were chosen as the modern solution for outdoor lighting of the roads and parking area for trucks. A total number of 252 pillars and outdoor luminaires on area of 2ha were replaced with more ecological and efficient 45, 60 and 75 Watt LED modules. Where sodium lamps need replacement every second year, LED lamps are attractive for their long lifetime and last approximately 10-12 years. 

The annual energy costs were reduced to 52% and total energy consumption was 15,4 kWh. The customer is able to pay off the project within the next 3 years from the start of the project.
