The project focused on revitalizing the warehouse lighting of KJ Trade Service, Ltd. for improved illumination and lower energy consumption. The lighting audit suggested the existing luminaries were insufficient for working areas with limited access to daylight.
KJ Trade Service , Ltd. is a major company in the district of Senica which is engaged in distribution and merchandising. It currently has a 2000 m² logistics center frequently used for unloading, loading and handling of goods.
The customer searched for a cost effective solution to exchange the lighting system in the hall, an area of 860 m². The DDK-LED team proposed to replace the original 400W MH lamps for DDK-LED Corn Light 120W E40 in the existing industrial fixtures with overall review and electrical finish. This cost effective option increased inadequate 120 lx in the working area for a more desired 200 lx. The energy consumption was reduced from the previous year 10,800W to an optimized 2,800W per year.
Original 400W metal halide lamps in total of 10 units were fully replaced with DDK-LED Corn Light 120 W E40 system piece by piece. After installing LED lamps the energy costs were reduced by 73%. The expected return on investment of the project is three years.
