This project involved the complete redesign of the 4000 m² space for DDK Slovakia in Senica. The main goal was to provide an improved and more modern illumination for the interior of the warehouse as well as lower energy consumption. The lighting audit suggested the existing luminaries were insufficient for working areas with limited access to daylight.
DDK Slovakia is an established company with over 20 years in distribution. A stable business partner of Wrigley, Mars and SCA is working with many well known distribution chains in Slovakia and Czech Republic. The total of 4000 m2 logistics warehouse in Senica requested optimized lighting solution.
The lighting proposal showed following parameters: 200 lx inside the warehouse due to the need for better visibility and 400 lx in the manipulation area for the purposes of frequent unloading and distribution of incoming goods.
The original 450W metalhalogenid lamps in total of 36 luminaires were fully replaced with 100W and 200W DDK-HBE LED system. The energy costs after the installation of LED luminaires dropped by 66%. The expected return on investment of the project is 3 years.
